The Corporate Governance Center of the State University Higher School of Economics (CGC HSE) was established as part of the Russian-Canadian educational program Corporate Governance in Russia, which was carried out collaboratively by the Schulich School of Business at York University (Toronto) and the State University Higher School of Economics (Moscow). The official opening of the Center was conducted by the Prime Minister of Canada Mr. Jean Cretien during his official visit to Moscow in February 2002.
