Nikita Pirogov and Evgenia Zhivotova presented the report “The Groups of the companies with sustainable growth: discriminant analysis” in the section “Corporate Finance and management of the corporation.”

The authors tried to define the groups of Russian companies with sustainable growth during the period 2000-2007. An approach of economic profit was applied to divide the companies for groups. Financial growth effect is estimated through the determinants of the value of the company in combination with strategic position of the company. Using this criterion it is possible to analyze sustainability of company’s growth and classify the companies according to quality of growth. It allows finding fundamental differences between the companies. The quality growth matrix and sustainable growth concept allows to define the groups with special patterns of sustainable growth. Using the discriminant analysis and multivariate analysis the authors tried to find the factors responsible for the differences between the companies with different types of sustainable growth.

Following the results of the conference there will be available a collection of materials.
