·        Network of Excellence (NoE)

      The Network of Excellence (NoE) was created to develop the scientific and technological potential through the integration of knowledge and best practices in the sphere of Financial Mechanisms of Corporate Governance within Russia as well as internationally.

Network of excellence is aimed at:

- enhancement of the research potential of the members;

- determination of the effective research techniques;

      - obtainment and popularization of the results of theoretical and empirical investigations

      -  leadership on regional and international levels

                     ·        Potential Directions of Research:

      - Corporate responsibility and  the quality of the relationship between stakeholders;

      - Strategic role of Board of Directors, the board’s performance ;

      - Corporate control and corporate performance;

- Remuneration tools and schemes based on company value;

      - Impact of corporate governance quality on corporate performance;

      - Corporate governance and investor protection;

      - Role of corporate governance mechanisms in the process of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs);

      - Financial architecture development and the role of Board of Directors.

·                Contacts:

      Through the process of network formation  relationships with a number of universities and research centers were established. Research directors and reserach staff of these centers took an active part in the development of research and other network contacts.

A joint research of Corporate Finance Center together with Russian Institute of Directors with the assistance of Financial Corporation URALSIB on KPMG order. The project was conducted under the “Influence of Corporate Governance on Corporate Performance: Empirical Research on the database of RID-Expert RA rating” subject.
